Hardwood/Gum and Pine Mix

We use a splitter to split the fire wood, which sometimes produces pieces that are not neat as some pieces are “torn ” apart. The pieces are  chunky (not too big though and will still fit a standard fire place)

* Please make special mention in notes, if you do not wish to have these pieces mixed into your load.*

These pieces do burn longer though as they are cut from harder, knottier portions.

Each load consists of 10 bags hardwood and 10 bags Pine. The hardwood bags consist of a maximum 20 pieces(this can vary as pieces are not all the same size)

We use the same size bags as the hardwood is delivered in but due to Pine wood generally been split a bit thicker there might be less than 20 pieces in each bag

This load is a mixture of soft and hardwoods and is the quickest way for you to get your fireplace up to

operating temperature with less hassle.

Once it’s going, you can throw the hardwood on for a slower burn…

When ordering Hardwood from Hout Bay Firewood you may get a mix of hardwood varieties such as:

• Oak

• Beefwood (Casarena,some say it’s the best firewood in the World)

• Gum

• Blackwoood.Etc

If you specifically would only like only Gum, please mention this in the notes section of your order.

We are confident that our wood is of good quality and that it will keep you warm this Winter.

All full load deliveries come with 1 free bag of kindling and 1 free packet(box) of blitz, which is included in the price.

Within the Hout Bay area delivery is free. Please select “Southern Suburbs” as your delivery area if you live outside Hout Bay – a R250 delivery fee will then apply.

**We do offer an after hours delivery but this will cost extra due to overtime).

If you select CASH as payment option please make sure you pay on delivery. A R100 service charge will apply if EFT payment after delivery takes place.
